I want to use the Journal feature of Outlook to perform document management
on a range of files directories throughout my hard drive.
My concern is how Outlook manages such functions.
First, when I drag a file from Windows Explorer the Journal within Outlook,
it creates a short cut. This I believe doesn’t add substantially to the size
of the pst file. But when I move the file or directory, Outlook doesn’t make
any attempt to find the file. Responds with “cannot find fileâ€. How can this
be corrected?
Second. On a similar subject, when I make the file an attachment I don’t
have the problem when I move the file or directory. Is this because the file
is embedded within Outlook? If so, where is this file kept? and does it
increase the pst file equal to the size of the attached file?
Thanks in advance
