Running Office 2000, and in Outlook's Journal, my Journal entries are
highlighted but I can't view them unless I manually click it on, and the
entry opens up.
What "view" do I need to use in order to be able to view my entries when I
switch from, say, Inbox to Journal, w/o having to manually click on each
highlight?

Thanks,

RED

I'm not sure what you mean. What view are you using now (View | Current
View to check)? Do you have the Preview Pane enabled on the Journal folder?

I have the following, "Current View", "Entry" and nothing shows, but my blue
highlight. If I click on each highlighte line, the Journal entry shows what
I've entered. But I know there was a time when I saw all of my entries
listed. What did I mess up so that it is not showing now??????????

Thanks!

Do you have any filters or groups set on the Entry List view? Go to View |
Current View | Customize Current View -- does it say anything next to the
Group by or Filter buttons?

I guess I'm still having trouble picturing what you're seeing. You say when
you highlight "each highlight line", you see the contents of the Journal
entry. That tells me you are getting a list of some kind, but you also
indicating that you are no longer seeing all your entries listed. When you
click "each highlight line", what exactly do you see, and where do you see
it?

Upon opening Journal, I used to be able to see "all" of my e-mail
correspondance listed there, by contact. I could click it on, and the
journal entry would open alon with any notes I made.

Now, from some reason, when I open the Journal, it is nothing more than
however many entries I had, listedthere as blue highlights. No text, no
nothing, just a blue strak across each line entry.

Now if I click each blue highlight on, it does open up and show me what I
entetred for correspondence, notes, etc.

But I have to click it on, and read it, whereas before I could open it up,
see what entry I wanted to look at. Now, you have to hope when you click it
on, that it is the entry you want. If, not Ihave to go down and manually
click on and open up each individual entyr and try tro find what I'm looking
for.

Somewhere, I made achange to this "View" and I can't figure out how to
restore it. Whew!

Thanks for your patience with me!

OK...it sounds to me like you're just missing the Preview Pane. Click View
| Preview Pane -- does that help? If not, how about View | AutoPreview?
