Journal Problem

Running OL 2002, and I have tried every setting I can
find, and I still cannont get Journal to show my
correspondence with any of my Contacts, whether it be
Word, Excel, or e-mail messages.
Do I have to be on a Exchange server to use this function?

I am on a LAN connection, but need to keep track of my
correspondence with students.

I have tried Slipstick.com, and web searches, but to no
avail.

Whatg am I doing wrong.

Yes, I can view them there, but why doesn't it show up in my Journal, as a
daily log????

Because Activities replaced that function.
