graphics card does'nt support pixel shaders or vertex shaders". do i need a
new graphics card (if so, which one) or is there anythng i can do with
drivers and the like to sort this? all advice is welcome.

Hi turps100,

Yes, you'll need to install a video card capable of handling DX 8 and above
graphic requirements such as pixel shaders and transform and lighting. You
should chose one of the major brands (nVidea/ATI) available at your local
computer shop, ebay, or favorite online store. Here's a comparison of cards
for you to chose from: http://www.pcvsconsole.com/features/video/
