Joining member server to domain

While trying to join a member server to domain, it gives
an Access Denied Error
 
Check to make sure the machine account does not already exists and that you
are using an administrator account.
 
On your member server - in the TCP/IP configuration settings: is it pointed
to one of your internal DNS Servers?

And what exact error are you receiving - something like 'Domain con not be
found'?
