Hi,

On our Windows 2000 Server, print jobs are disappearing
after a few seconds from one of our print queues. This
queue is for a HP 4500N printer.

We've been told that updating the HPTCPMON.DLL file,
which runs the HP Standard Port Monitor, might solve
this. How do we update this .dll? Just dropping in a
later version does not work.

We get this Event when this queue fails:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2510
Date: 12/14/2000
Time: 2:06:11 PM
User: N/A
Computer: Computer_Name
Description: The server service was unable to map error
code 1726.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Kyle

copy and paste the dll file to where it should be and then use start run
[filename} regsvr32

Thanks for the suggestion, but it did not work.

Regsvr32 failed, because some "specified module could not be found." I
ran regsvr in the winnt\system32 directory where hptcpmon.dll is.

copy and paste the dll file to where it should be and then use start
run [filename} regsvr32
