I worked from an email attachment and clicked on 'save'. I then closed the attachment. I cannot find the file. Please help

When you open an attachment directly, rather than saving it first, it may create a temporary file in c:\windows\temp - so you could browse that directory and see if there are any .doc files there. Hopefully it will still be there Another thing you could try is to open Word and see if the temporary file appears on the list of recently opened documents.

In future I'd recommend saving the file somewhere before you work on it .

Won't it still be attached to the e-mail?

It should be, but I just guessed the OP was after the modified file - if not, it should be much easier to fix
