Hi, all there!

I can't ping my jetdirect card build in an HP LaserJet 5N Printer, cause it
uses the BNC port. How can I switch it to the RJ-45 port? There are no
jumpers an I see no option in the printer-on-board-setup-software.

Thanks a lot for hints and answers, Christoph

It should not be built-in, but a plug-in card installed in the printer's
MIO slot.

Some of these cards autoselect BNC or RJ45 based on what is connected.
If you have any cables on the BNC, remove them. Make sure that the
cable connected to the RJ45 is good. If you are connecting the
printer directly to a computer instead of a hub or switch, you
need a special crossover cable.

Yes, that it is! I wanted to test the printer direct by notebook, without a
hub. I've taken the wrong cable. It was not crossover.
Thanks a lot!!!
