if you use Access as a front end to SQL Server linked
tables are you still using the Jet Engine in Access?

I could be wrong but AFAIK:

If you are using an Access Project file (ADP file), no.

If you are using an Access Database file (MDB), then most likely yes. JET
will be loaded but whether it is used or not depending on your Forms /
Reports / VBA codes / etc.... For example, you don't actually use JET if
you use ODBC-Direct Workspace.

Currently, the recommendation is to use MDB rather than ADP.
