Can any one point me to some resources that define the
differences between Jet and SQL database engines? I am
intrigued by the post between Tony Toews and Van T. Dinh
as I built a database used by only 30 people. My boss
showed it off to other departments, and is asking me to
build tools for them to use that can "Link" common tasks
between us and them. (We are in a Medical Record
department of a 136 bed county hospital) All this is
supposed to run through the Hospital network, allowing us
to "build bridges" towards increased efficiency. But I
know little about networks..much less what kind
of "engine" the database I built is using. :)

SQL used to be "Blue Jet", and Access used "Red Jet" (or visa versa).
Exchange had a flavour, and so did a few other apps.

Can you be more specific about versions of SQL and Jet?

SQL evolved from Sybase's SQL-Server. It is now a totally different engine,
which never had anything to do with JET. Exchange is JET Red.
