I was using an office Access database from home via a
VPN. I lost the connection and since then I have been
unable to open the database at all. Everytime I try to
access it - even from the computer were the database
resides - I get the error "The Microsoft Jet databse
engine stopped the process because you and another user
are attempting to chage the same data at the same time."
No one else is logged in to the database. I tried to run
Compact and repair the database but got the same error
message when I tried to select that database for
compacting. Anybody know how I can "unlock" this
database??

Find the file with the same filename but a .ldb extension in the same
folder as the database and delete it.

- Open new database and try importing all objects from problematic database.

I have the same error on database, but I open database without problem.
Error occour only when I try compacting database. I found problem in memo
fields. Memo filds is corupted (include string #error). Only deleting record
with this memo field resolved problem with compacting. You can find this
field with find tools, you must browse table and looking all memo fields ...

Same thing occurs. If I try to import and select the
database then I get the same error. I just can't get
into this database at all. I can't open it to even look
for corrupted fields.

See the Corruptions FAQ at my website for more things to try.
