Okay, I'm getting a little frustrated here.
I upgraded to Office 2003 Pro and when I opened a
database in Access, I got a security message about
updating to Jet 4.0 SP8. Of course, I could not find the
SP but the database opened anyway after wading through a
couple of additional message boxes. Over the weekend, I
ran Windows Update and lo and behold, Jet 4.0 SP8 was
available and I installed. However, when I opened a
database, I got the same error message. I found it at
another source and ran it again. I still get a security
warning whenever I open an existing database.
Also, I have found several mentions regarding a Security
menu that is supposed to be under Tools->Macro->
Security. However, I cannot find any such menu item. One
post on the newsgroup suggested resetting the toolbars
which I did, again with no effect.
Am I going to have to just live with these annoying
security messages?
I am running Office 2003 on Windows XP with all the
latest patches, service packs, etc. I upgraded from
Office XP Pro.
Thanks in advance for any information and suggestions.
