A commonly used site (TVguide.com) provides listings of
programs. When the pointeris moved to a program link, the
status bar at the bottom reads "javascript:dtl(X) where x
refers to program details.
Previously, when I clicked on the link, a detailed program
description would open in a separate window.
Lately, this hasn't worked but I do not receive an error
message.
FAQs at the TVGuide site refer to ActiveX settings as a
possible cause but I've had no luck when I've changed
those settings.

Any help?
Thank you

Do you have popup-blocking software installed? It will cause your exact
symptom.
