Hi

i want to UPLOAD documents using JAVASCRIPT on Client Side.

My Q is how to read the DOCUMENT on the CLIENT mc and pack it in an XML
below, i will be streaming the XML to the Server (Dont bother abt the
streaming part).

<FILESIZE>filesize<FILESIZE>

the only way with the browser is to use the <input type="file"> element.
the javascript cannot see the file content (unless the server
posts it back). to do what you want you would need to write an active/x
control.
