I'm a web developer and for script compatibility reasons, I would like to
know what version of JavaScript is currently supported in IE 6, and if there
is going to be a new version of Internet Explorer coming out.

Thanks in advance.

The current one should be 5.6.

I've not heard anything recently about
any upcoming IE. Looks like MS has
run into some legal troubles that's delaying
any new IE version. I won't be surprised
if they delay any new major versions 'til
their next OS, as they often do.

As far as programming features, most of the big
changes occurred in versions 4 and 5, 5.5 had
only a few additions, 6 had even fewer. 6 is
essentially a cleaner version of 5.

Hi Raymond,

Thanks for the reply, but I have not heard of JavaScript 5.6. Could you
please give me some links to good documentations?

Thanks again.

Raymond, I just realized that you were talking about Microsoft's JScript and
found a few docs on Microsoft Site. Thanks for the link.
