Javascript not working.

Hello,

My javascript was working fine until about 3 weeks ago
when I downloaded a spyware program from
bulletproofsoft.com. It helped get rid of a lot of
spyware/adware, but it also got rid of some vital files
that I think may have messed my computer up. The
javascript files anyway. I cannot open ANY javascript
windows whatsoever. It's really making me impatient
because I can't figure out what steps to take in
resolving this issue. Maybe re-installing XP, or one of
the driver utilities CD's? I have already contacted AOL,
but they couldn't seem to answer my question. I'd be
more than appreciative if anyone out that has had this
problem and/or knows how to fix this. Also, this spyware
program was only a 5-day trial, so I can't go back to
the "ignore list" to restore my files. It's pretty
messed up. Once again, thanks to anyone who can offer

Is it Microsoft Java or Second Partys try a reinstall of

your Java go to Add/Remove programs Remove Java Runtime
then< Reboot Go to,
http://wwws.sun.com/software/download/ And download
and reinstall 2. Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition,
Reboot. Hopefully this is it if not post back

I'm not really sure... I think it's Microsoft Java, but
that's just a guess. I do not have anything called Java
Runtime installed on my computer. I still went to that
website and downloaded Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition,
and rebooted. The websites with Javascript pop-ups still
did not function. Thanks anyway for your suggestions. -
