Hello
I hope that someone can help. I've looked over the numerous other messages on this problem, and either I'm being daft, or they don't seem to solve my problem! Thanks in advance to anyone who has suggestions
I'm running IE 6 SP1 with all the latest live updates, in XP home edition, version 2002 SP1
One example website is www.boschappliances.co.u
The 'Error on page'icon is bottom left of the browser, and when I hover over 'Web Assistant' 'Dealer Locator' 'Feedback' or 'Contact' it changes to "javascript://"
Nothing happens at all when I click on them. This seems to happen on all the sites I visit with javascript
I've checked Nortons, and it just has the recommended 'enable script blocking' and will ask me what to do should something come up
I had gone to Control Panel/Admin Tools/Services and 'stoped' the Messenger service, which had stopped pop-ups, but having restarted the service and the PC, the problem persists
According to: http://www.pocoso.de/pocoso052.html - java is o
According to: http://www.dancespots.net/browsertest.htm - javascript is enable
According to: http://www.visualware.com/support/msjava.html - Microsoft Java VM build NOT detecte
I'm not sure what other info you might need, and I'm not terribly technical, so please stick with me
I look forward to some assistance with this
Very best wishes
