some sights that needs javascript and does not have access to it. where has
it gone? what did i do wrong and how to correct it. thanks for any help in
advance.

Hi Headley,

The setting can be found in Internet Options>Security Tab.

Use the Tools>Internet Options menu or a shortcut is to double click on the
internet icon on the IE Status Bar. This will take you to the Security tab
of Internet Options.
Just click the Default button to change your Internet Zone security back to
the recommended levels (which includes enabling JS) or Alternatively Keep
your Internet Zone Security on High and Add sites that you can trust to your
Trusted Zone (for which you may have a low(er) security level in place)

1. You might want to refresh your scripting engine:

or

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

2a. Start>Run>Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

2b. Start>Run>Regsvr32 jscript.dll

3. Re-register all DLLs listed in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/281679

5a. IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot).

5b. Find the hijacker that caused 5a to be checked (or if none were checked,
check for hijackware anyway):
