I've just purchased Windows XP pro and when I go to web
site pokerroom.com which I've been going to for the 2
years the poker room now comes up blank with a red X in
the upper left hand corner. When I go to there help page
they run a check and this is the message I get;

The browser you use at the moment is: Mozilla/4.0
(compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322).

You need to upgrade your browser

I was running XP pro before I purchased my own copy, can
anyone tell me what my problem might be. I can make it
work if I download Java from Sun Microsystems, that's just
wrong. This should work without going to Sun. HELP,
please....
 
As of XPSP1 Microsoft quit installing their JVM due to the judicial dispute
with Sun.
It also is not a supported download from MS.

You can get it through the back door though.
There is a security fix which has MSJVM in it (Q816093) goto
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp and search for it.

That security fix will install the MSJVM. Be sure to go back to
Windowsupdate.com after the install though becuse it will retro other
security fixes.

windows xp pro doesnt have the virtual machine im going

threw the same thing so you have to download it
 
To all that replyed, thanks so much. I found what I needed
and now i'm all set. I just couldn't understand why one XP
pro worked and the other one didn't. Thanks again... Jp
