When you go to a site that uses Java, it will appear then.

What version of Java is installed? Click Start> Control Panel> Java> General tab>
About button
or, if you are using Control Panel's Category view:
Click Start> Control Panel> click Other Control Panel Options in the left pane> then
Java> General tab> About button

Click the Advanced tab in the Java control panel, then expand the Miscellaneous
section, and put a checkmark in Place Java Icon in System Tray, and click OK.

The Java icon will only appear when Java is in use in a web page.

Java fixed. Thanks for the help.
