I know it will preview in browser, that's my internet
explorer browser....I'm talking about the "preview in FP",
you have 3 tabs on the bottom, html, normal &
preview.....always before i could preview the page right
in FP, but now it's not loading the java.

Yes, I know you were talking about the Preview tab and the solution is to
use the File Menu | Preview in browser as most likely a Windows/IE update
has change this.

Which version of Windows, IE and FP are using?

Also Preview in Browser shows you how your page will actually look when view
from the web, minus any functions that require a web server, if working with
disk based webs.

It is better to preview in the IE not the 'preview' in Frontpage since it is not
a "Full" browser and therefore some things like Java won't display properly.

I'm running windows xp, ie:6.0 and FP 2002..always prior I
could preview java in frontpage w/o going to IE?????

Are you talking about Java or JavaScript?

If Java, which Java Virtual Machine do you have installed, MS or Sun?

Hi Thomas and Karen,

If you are talking about hover buttons, this is a known issue. There will
soon be a Knowledge Base article about it, but in a nutshell it has to do
with some fixes in Internet Explorer and the fact that FrontPage loads files
for preview from the Temporary folder.

We recommend you use Preview in Browser for previewing pages with Java
Applets on them.

I just tried something that works in the default case: If you switch to
Code view and remove the codebase="./" attribute, it seems to work OK, but
I'm not sure what else this might affect.

Sorry about the inconvenience.
