Should I delete 1.5.0 ( build 1.5.0_11-b03) in add or remove or should I
leave it in with 1.6?

Not an expert on this so bare with me.
First understand that at this time the 1.6 series is not required
It is not a security update. Most Java applets/programs are still using the
1.5 series, which is why it is still being updated, as you know ?:-)

You should test all the applications / sites that you know use Java (not
java script mind you) to insure they are working properly. How to verify
which version of Java on your machine is being used I will leave to someone
else to explain as I think I might know how to do it but really don't want to
mislead you.

Since neither the 1.5.11 update nor the 1.6.x is security related (as far as
I know) you can leave them both for a while. Once you are sure you don't
need the 1.5.11 you should delete it to regain space (Java uses alot) and
incase in the future it should become a security concern. At this point you
should delete all versions of Java before 1.5.10 as I am sure they are not
needed.

I'm sure this did not answer your question but hopfully it points you in the
right direction.

For myself, I'm staying with the 1.5 series (1.5.10) till I have a valid
reason to update (security or major enhancement) as my work currently
requires the 1.5 series for very important software.

I installed Java 1.6 a while back and found that some websites that I
normally visit didn't function properly with this version. Went back to
1.5.0.10 and everything is normal.

Test your installed build using the below URL.

You should have Java SE Runtime Environment 6.0 installed.
Any other previous builds may be safely removed via Add/Remove
Programs.

I've been running 1.6 on some systems for a number of weeks and haven't seen
any issues, but they make very little use of Java. I'd remove all older
builds of Java.

Here are the release notes for 1.5.0_11-b03, fwiw:

At a quick reading, it seems to be mostly bug fixes--and particularly Vista
related stuff--I'd say this is likely worth doing if you are on Vista.

Hey Randy I'm having problems the past few days with broadband reports.com
with the speed tests. The first test linkline test speed to Los angeles I get
a little red x in the corner and the other servers are busy on the other
tests. Are you guys having the same problem?

I'd need a URL to check-out your issue, Cyrus -
I don't visit BBR too often.

I've been using speakeasy's tests for some time now, even though I'm not on
their network. They work well and seem pretty accurate in my experience.
