I have Java. It is used for most programs like games, Incredimail and other applications. I have read to migrate to .net and have to download WHAT? And is it save to do this? I am a complete dummy about all this. Will all the applications I am using now be the same?

JAVA and JavaSCRIPT are two entirely different animals. The former is
probably already installed; if not, you will be prompted. The standard
version is available at http://sun.java.com/getjava, should you need it.

JavaSCRIPT is likely enabled, and working fine in your browser. It, and
..NET, need not be a concern.

Before making changes to your PC, consult with a knowledgable friend or
tech. Be sure that a firewall is enabled when on the Net, and it would be
wise to have a quality virus checker installed - and kept current. Also,
do not open any attachments, from known sources or otherwise, that are not
first checked by that virus utility.
