java problem

When Im about to enter a game site, requiring java, the
whole browser closes......I just updated the new patch,
rats. This is why I hate updates. Anyone have any
answers

You can(should) get Java directly from Sun (and it's free, too):

http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp See "Get it Now"

Microsoft will not me using their modification of it any more....

It's breeze to install.
