I had a problem and rummaging around on my computer, I found a display of IE
Helpers and the Java Platform SE6 had an exclamation point enclosed in a
yellow shield. Isn't that an indication of a problrm, and if so, how do I
correct it?
Thanks

Hi Brax,

Right click on the icon to display the context menu. There should be options
to delete or repair the item.

Regards.

I take it you are looking a the C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files folder.
Maybe you got there via IE - Tools...Internet Options...General tab,
Settings, View Objects. I have several entries as you mentioned for the
JRE. They seem to accumulate as Java is updated, and you leave older
run-time versions on your system. Nothing to worry about. In fact, even
the most recent version on my list has that icon.

If you are having trouble with Java, post it here and maybe we can help.
