Java plug-in control panel

I was attempting to follow some instructions re. the manual removal of
infected files found by my anti virus program and the first instruction was
to go to the control panel and click on Java Plug-In icon. Well there is no
Java plug-in icon so now what? Thanks Kirt (barilaco) Computer associates
provided the info on the infected files (Anti-Virus-SBC Yahoo! Online
Protection Infection Alert.)

The instructions only apply if you have Sun Java plug-in actually installed.
It is likely that it is not even installed, therefore the control panel
applet is missing. You may proceed to the next instruction that does not use
the Java plug-in applet in Control Panel. If upon successful cleaning of
your system you wish to install the latest version of Java plug-in please
visit this website :
