Java load error

ok i have used the virtual machine with no problems in
the past. i dont know what set it off. i try to load
pages that require pop ups, and they fail to load with
the error ont he bottom toolbar reading "error on page" i
have downloaded suns java to no avail. i have no clue
what im doing and i am looking for a simple solution. any
help would be grand
 
PLEASE HELP!
here is an example of my problem. say i go to
www.bestbuy.com. and i go to the bottom and click on say
careers which loads of a seperate java applet. it will
say error on page at the bottom of IE. atm i have J2RE
(latest) installed and on the advanced tab i have it
selected. i have tried many variations....and i cannot
get it to work please omg somebody just solve this for me
ive had this forlike 3 weeks or more.
