Hi Baiiilo ,
You say :
" I got a Java project . finally . Life is great !!! "

One day .NET and C# will just be something IT types will joke about when not
playing EverQuest.

As in: year 2006 -

IT geek One (fat and smells funny) -"Hey you remember that M$ ploy to
subvert JAVA?"

IT geek Two (skinny with bad hair)- "Huh ? you just made me kill a halfling
by mistake"

Of course, neither of them ever wrote anything in C# or any thing else,
because IT Dept. types always download what they need.

disagree.

we need something that is

like scripts

but like compilation.

and yes, java is both.

c# is an alternative.

just now, i am working through
mono.

OSS compiler, library and so on.

Hi Baiiiiiiilo ,
You say :

OSS compiler , library and so on . "

Doe it have a nice debugger ? Does it run standalone ?

Can you rip into the heart of complex data types ?

His children,

He's just associated a colorchooser to a button and worked out how to
change the background color of the window display :)

Ha Ha Ha.

How little you know.

When you toggle the button it
prints a Console.WriteLine.

And you say it doesn't do much...

Har har har dee har har.

mono provides the good old primitives
but to really understand c#/and the
mono.NET framework, you will see that
even Integer can be expressed as an
object.

I have not used the debugger/ide yet -- just doing
the basic tire kicking with GEdit and terminal commands,
and playing with Gtk. I was originally working
through the Qt examples with KDevelop -- a
truly nice ide -- but when i switched to Gnome
for speed, I guess I'm using Gtk widgets and windowing
'parts' now.

Use Glade.

Hi Papa Bailo ,
You say :
" I'm using Gtk widgets and windowing ' parts ' now . "

I never use any of the " Code from dialog boxes " ,
Nor do I ever use any of the other " Visual Programming " .

I use Gimp for bitmaps .

All my windows are just created inside the regular code .

And I target Win98 to WinXP ... Nothing else .

I use fractions of the available screen ,
Ignoring the dots per inch settings .

Hi Papa Bailo ,
You ask : " LoseDos YPay ? "

For the same reason you pay alimony ... It's worth it .

Hi John A. Bailo ,
Of your alimony payments , You say :
" It ' was ' worth it . "

You don't owe any more alimony ?

Hi John A. Bailo , M.D. ,
You say : " Nope . 3 years , finished this October . "

Hmmm . That explains the queen sized bed .

Are you dating ?

any chic between the ages of 18 and 23
who is height weight proportionate
and between 5'1 and 5'6 is willing to
knock on my door and beg me to 'date'
her.

other than that...i'm busy...
