Is there a way to permanantly hide the Java console icon
on the taskbar? You can try to hide it by right-clicking
on the taskbar, selecting the "customize" button on the
taskbar tab, and choosing to always hide java console.
However, sometimes it will come back again, and you have
to hide it again. I've had up to 3 of them hidden at one
time. Also, when you reboot it starts over again. So if
it pops up, you have to hide it again. I find this
annoying. Any info on this?

In Control Panel double click the Java Plug-in icon.

This opens the Java Plug-in Control Panel.

Select "Basic" - Check "Do not start console" - Uncheck Show Java in System
Tray.

Should solve your problem.
