java 1.4.2_05

I downloaded java 1.4.2_05 but I get an error when I try it open it on a web
site. The error is "the java runtime environment cannot be loaded from
<C:\progra~1\java\J2re14~2.2_0\bin\hotshot\jvm/dll>.

I am running winxp sp2.

Reboot your PC, it should be OK after that
 
I did the download and install three time with different setups and reboots
but it did not help. I did a remove and clean before each new install. I
did a google search before I posted here.
