From an initial 8 date schedule it now becomes a 50 date schedule ???

Michael is 50 and although peeps want to view him/his demise/deficit is awesome...he is 50 years old ....

From 8 to 50 the public will buy...sorry Michael you will not fullfill your obligations/ again the money men are leading your life.

Hey may be mad as a hatter - but hes made good music in the past... Thats right i said it!!

Michael Jackson is a talented fella, no doubt about that.

He's also mad as a hatter.

And quite possibly a nonce - would you let your ten year old son stay at his place?

I love Off The Wall & Thriller but I really wouldn't want to see him perform live - no interest at all.

Blame his parents, stardom at age ten and a strict religious American upbringing can seriously mess with one's mind.

An enigma, possibly, but all in all I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him.

It going to be a money spinner for him & will probably help him to get out of debt!
Will he though manage 50 dates @ the o2, only time will tell.

I for one seriously doubt that he is or ever was in any kind of debt..Funny how these stars, when they find themselves in trouble then they are suddenly nearing bankrupcy and bad debt..Personaly i'd stick him and Gary Glitter on an island far far away with no fricking return ticket..:thumb:

Michael Jackson's 50-date residency at London's O2 Arena has completely sold out, concert promoter AEG has confirmed.

More than one million tickets have been snapped up, with 360,000 being sold to registered fans before seats were made available to the public this morning.

Hundreds of fans lined up outside the venue and a quarter of a million queued online for tickets to the 'This Is It' tour.

The comeback shows have become the fastest-selling in history, with over 33 seats sold a minute.

"That wasn't anticipated," promoter Randy Phillips told the BBC.

"We never thought '50 shows', and frankly, based on the queues on Ticketmaster plus the 300,000 registrants we still haven't issued codes to, we could spend two years here.

"Mike asked me how long he would be in the United Kingdom for and I told him, probably long enough to get a British passport.

"Michael's already pretty much put together a list of the dancers he wants. Michael's very engaged now."

Jackson extended the number of live dates after unprecedented demand. The residency is now expected to run until February 2010.

At a press conference last week, the star confirmed that the setlist would include songs "the fans want".

If it wasn't ticketmaster it would be somebody else - so why worry?

Nepotism, contacts, backhanders, undisclosed interests, company links, subsidarys, share offers, Cayman Islands, advertising contracts, offshore banking business's, back scratching, percentages, budgets, promotion, exclusive rights, yes, he's my cousin, how best do we keep this money within our circle?

This is the real world.

The alternative is Chinese Democracy :)

Keeping it the country

Here in Ireland we call it Governmental brown envelopes...but you're right to keep it in the country. Recession is looming, drawing closer everyday. Hard times soon come.

Heck we're already feeling it. Looking at the British economy, you wouldn't think that Gordon Brown was the longest serving Chancellor would you. Actually, maybe that explains it all ;)

Reminds me of Blackadder!

Ticketmaster are often the official ticket sellers for many shows/events working in partnership with the promoters/venues ;)
