j-script hyperlinks

since i installed service pack 2 last week IE6 won't load
windows run from a j-script or java hyperlink. i've
looked and looked but can't find any fix for this. i
think it is a problem that was with service pack 1 (which
was never installed) that happen to carry over. any help
is appreciated....thanks!

There appears to be several issues with Javascript and SP2. Try installing
the Sun Java and see if that helps.

You can get the Sun Java J2SE RunTimes or SDK here:
http://java.sun.com/downloads/index.html (all versions - select using the
dropdown)

or here: http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp

Sun also offers an automatic download and install of the 1.4 Java plug-in
here: http://java.sun.com/getjava/download.html

Note: You may have to select the Sun Java in the Internet
Options>Advanced>Under Java (Sun). I have them both, and they work just
fine.


If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.
