J peg pictures not inserting into my presentations?

Can anyone help. I have a new Nikon D80 camera. The pictures download onto my
computer no problems. When i try to insert them into powerpoint 2007 i just
get 4 little circles and no picture. If i expand the picture i just get a red
cross?

What can i do to correct this?

My initial thought is that the image may be too large - try making a smaller
copy and see if that inserts.

Thank you Steve i will check this....

What format do you have the camera set for? If it's RAW, PowerPoint can't
import them. The Nikon should have come with software to convert RAW format
files to JPGs that PowerPoint can insert.

Thanks Lucy, strangely if i copy the picttures when saved in 'Snapfish' i can then insert them so yes, maybe too big... Thank you
