In order to be able to retrieve my database data using an .asp page, it
appears
that I need to be added as a "Member of". I get to:
Computer Management
Local Users and Groups
Users
IWAM_computername
Member Of
Add

And that's where I need help, how do I add myself?
Earl

Try this.
Open the management console.
click the plus by Users and groups.
Click the Groups folder.
Right click Administrators and click Properties
If IWAM-username is not there click Add
Click Advanced
Click Find Now
and click to select the IWAM_USER from the list that shows.

With "Find Now" I have IUSER_computername and IWAM_computername.
I don't have "IWAM_USER".
I selected/added both those with my computer name and rebooted. Did not
fix the problem.

Did the uninstall/reinstall as suggested. In IIS Admin Properties (Local
Computer)
it now shows IIS as "Stopped". I click Start and get the following...

Could not start the IIS Admin Service on local computer.
Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified
(OK)

I restored my inetsrv folder and it appears that IIS is now Started.
I pinged localhost and the IP shows 127.0.0.1
I pinged computer name (Partridge) and IP shows 192.168.0.2
Should these be the same?

Earl
