i've used the detect and repair function in outlook

after I've used the detect and repair function in outlook i've lost all
my stored e-mail, my e-mail accounts definitions and all my contacts.
how can i restore those files??

You've posted too little information to unravel what you actually did. Nor
can we guess your Outlook version.
I'd suggest finding your Outlook data file and configuring your current
Outlook profile to use it. We cannot provide specific instructions because
you posted no specific information. The file you need is your Personal
Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are
stored.

While compacting my Outlook 2000 PST file, I got an error that said t
detect and repair. When trying to run this function, I got anothe
error, saying I needed to fix my corrupted detect and repair and t
place the Office 2000 CD in the disk. The next message was that I had
newer file in my system (Windows 2000 with SP4) than the one in th
disk.

ANy ideas on how to proceed/
