I had a problem with floppy disks jammimg in the drive, so I swapped it over
for one I had taken from an older computer.
I got a message saying that it was the wrong type (or something similar) so
I took it out again.
I then examined the one I had removed and found that the problem was a
simple mechanical one, inasmuch as the button on the case was offset
vertically from the button on the drive. I have now fixed this and
*mechanically* it works beautifully.
I have reconnected it as it was, but my problem is that Floppy Drive *A* has
disappeared from *My Computer*!
How can I restore it please
My computer is a 3 year old Dell Dimension T700r with a (new) partitioned 60
gig HD running XP pro and Win98SE, and the orignal 20GigHD retained as a
data store.
