hello,and help!!
I bought a new laptop and ive installed xp not once but 3 times.
problem i have is that ive tried to uninstall 2 of the xps as per the
troubleshooting guide, but when i reboot, ive still got a choice of the
3 xp os!!!
i only noticed it was a problem when i tried to use media player,
when it told me i had more than one program running.
im loath to take it to a shop to get charged for uninstalling, when
hopefully it should be simple to get rid!
please help!!

When you boot with the XP CD,
Delete all partitions before installing again.
This will start you off with a clean disk.

You can create other new partitions,
or just use the one for the whole disk.

Right Click My Computer click properties....click advanced....Click settings
under startup and recovery...

You can edit the boot.ini from here. I would recommend clearing the Time to
Dispaly List of operating systems check box. That screen should disappear..

If you want to delete the other two installations go to command prompt and
type...

cd\
cd %windir%

make a not of what directory it displays...go to my computer and navigate to
your c: drive and delete the folders that you specified to install windows
on the other two locations.
