Eugen, I understand that you are upset but we don't have enough
information from you to give you focused troubleshooting. The slowness
could be caused by viruses or malware or it could be caused by
hardware, such as your hard drive using the PIO transfer mode. The
knocking sound doesn't bode well and may very well be your hard drive
dying.

From your post, I would say that you are probably not very tech savvy.
Believe me, this is not meant as an insult. We all have our areas of
expertise. If I'm correct in this assumption, take your machine to a
professional computer repair shop (not your local version of
BigStoreUSA) and have them diagnose it for you.

That's me Eugen again.some additional information.
When I just wanted to download my microsoft updates the computer was
knocking again and a message appeared on a blue screen that he has got a
problem with the socket.
What is a socket? you know,i come from Russia...
and what for a problem coul it be?
When the knocking starts the pc is like he is dead for shotr time, and it
couldn't be a real virus because i have got a good anti-virus.F-Secure....But
again:I have got a dell pc laltitude D510 and want to reinstall my Windows
Service Pack 2...and
want to know if there is an possibility of not deleating the W-lan.
After the installation, normally i have to insert my dell-recourse CD and
extract an install all the features, which is also W-lan....
But i think it's installed in the hardware,so it cant be deleated because
dell is only activating the hardware...
So please write again.Thank you for your writing...

1. Since we have a language problem - if the "knocking" is really a
"clicking" and sounds like it is coming from the hard drive, get a
diagnostic utility from the drive mftr. and run a thorough test on your
drive. If the drive fails any physical tests, call Dell for a
replacement. You cannot fix hardware with software (reinstalling
Windows).

2. If the hard drive is fine, then go through these malware removal
steps to make sure your computer is completely clean:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

Follow the steps systematically.

After you've done the above things, if you need more help post back with
the results of #1 and 2 above.

oh i understand.i think.your saying your father had this internet
account a long time you don't want to lose it.your worred there might be a
key for it on your hard drive.your afraid of deleteing the key.well yes all
internet service providers put a cooky on hard drive to id you to them,it can
be replaced by them
easily.as to a key we don't have that in the U.S. but i don't know about
other places.you have to call up your internet service provider tec support
and ask them.
