I am having fits with trying to upgrade itunes/quicktime. When I first
tried, it said that there were difficulties in installing and I would have to
uninstall first. I did and now the nightmare.

I keep getting error 2093 and 1905, they have to do with a failed to
register line on QTQC.dll, QTQLIBRARY.DLL, QTUIPanel.dll and
QuicktimeCheck.ocx.

It continues to "install" and then another message pops up "Could not open
key
Hkey_Local_Machine|Software|Classes|QuickTimePlayerLib.QuickTimePlayerApp\CLSID.
Then it says open key or if you do not have authority contact support
personnel

Can anyone help?

When did this group become an iTunes support group??

Did I miss the memo?

After uninstalling the old versions run the Windows Installer Clean Up
Utility and remove any entries for these programs. Then try an install.

Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility

Oookay so I'm back on the original thread. I have used registry
cleaner,(that cleaned up the original problems of the *.dll messages.

I used the search engine and found 68 differrent files pertaining to itunes
and to Quicktime. I deleted them all but a few that said acess was denied .
I used the windows installer cleanup that took alot out but I still have it
on my disk!!

I tried to reinstall and it still came up with the HKEY message. I've done
as much as I can figure out to do and I'm still stuck.
I never would have downloaded the thing to begin with if windows would
have said it wasn't good. But it didn't and I did. Sorry about the smarta**
opening but I'm just a wee bit frustrated.
I did try the apple thingy but it too was confusing. Please help.
