iTunes kills Aero

This just happened, so I figured I post it and see if anyone else had the
same thing happen. Booted up Vista, Aero working as it should, opened
iTunes, and bang, right back to Vista Basic. Nothing I do brings Aero back,
not even closing iTunes. Heh, leave it to Apple to have an app that kills
the one thing in Vista that makes it look Mac like. Just paranoia, I'm
sure....

Killing the enemy (application) is not paranoia, isn't it...

I remember when the first Windows versions of iTunes was released. Steve
Jobs jokingly said it was the best written program for Windows. I was sure
after downloading it and using it, that he must have been on some
mind-altering drug. I'm not surprised to hear about this.

Forgive the top post, but the newest version seems to play nicer. As for
Jobs, I take anything he says with less than a grain of salt. He's a
marketing man, and has prolly written about as much code as I have.

Hey, I'm a marketing guy! :)

maybe the program as the option "disable desktop composition" on. do
rightclick->properties on exe or right click the shortcut choose "open file
location" and then, on windows explorer rightclick itunes exe and check for
that option under compatibility.

if was on by default, maybe its for perfomance or to not call some "issues"!
disaable it and see if itunes is working fine. the chances are that itunes
and overall pc perfomance will drop down to less responsive! ><)
