I downloaded iTunes to my computer (O/S Windows XP Pro) because I bought an iPod. Everything about it works EXCEPT it will not play or download CD's from my CD drive. Other programs such as Media player work just fine. Does anyone know what the problem could be and how to fix it? No help from the Apple webpage that I could find. Thanks.

Neither the iPod or iTunes supports Windows Media Files (.wma files)

This is a known problem. Check out the iTunes for Windows discussion forum at
http://discussions.info.apple.com/ to find some possible remedies. 4.1x used to
work for me, although I had to restart iTunes every time I inserted a new disc.
Version 4.2 does NT recognize my disc at all. Gee, maybe I WON'T be buying an
iPod next week...
