About a month ago, I had to perform a complete systems restore due to some
unknown source (spyware) attacked rendered my computer unbootable. Since the
restore, everything is normal with the exception of iTune. It will not
execute! I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have even installed the latest
version but with success...When I click to execute, the terms window will
quickly display- in the blink of eye - and go away. It does the same with
Quicktime. Is there a recommended solution for this or should I just ditch
and find something else? Your advice is much appreciated....

There really isn't any newsgroup support anywhere for iTunes for
Windows, unfortunately.

All I've been able to find is Apple's own not-very-easy-to-use
forums:
<http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=150>
and the somewhat better (though less technical) iLounge:
<http://www.ilounge.com/>

(*)m.p.w.n is for questions and answers about Windows XP, not about
applications; but as far as I know there's no newsgroup for iTunes
for Windows. There are several Mac groups, but installation issues
are likely to be quite different between the two platforms.

I am new to this game, however if this helps then it was worth taking the
time to write. I have just had a similar problem and no matter how many
times I downloaded the most up to date version, it wouldn't run. It kept
blaming Quicktime and suggested uninstalling QTime and using the fix option
on iTunes. Out of desperation I saved to file the download from apple's
website instead of running it direct, then installed it from the folder on my
HD and presto all's well again. Maybe this will work for you

I'm new to the game as well paul but gaining much experience in playing
it...I appreciate your response to my problem and will try it as soon as
possible...even if it doesn't work, I just learned something new that may
work in a similar situation in the future...Thanks again!!!!!
