I cant get it to work.Does anyone know about this type of computer.Thank

I thought that the average level of knowledge on usenet would be a
little higher.

Is this really a serious question?
Are you seriously thinking that the type of computer can be seen by what
operating system is installed?
And do you really think that we can solve that problem with this
information?

There is a man on a hill in the Himalayas , but it's a steep
climb and you will be gone for at least 2 weeks. Take the
system with you, and a generator. you will need a very
large back-pack.
 
Why cant anyone tell me anything useful
I need to fix it. Im going to open it up and have a look.

Ok, since this might be one of your first requests for info here, I will
forgive you this horrible OP, and tell you what to do.

Make a good start.

"I have a pc, and I have to repair it. It seems to run Windows 98, but
it isn't booting properly"

If you get an error message: write it down.

Anything you can see? Write it down too.

Tell us if it has worked before.

You could try a Linux distro to see if it is a software problem.

Then you mention some hardware specifications:
Processor
Memory
Motherboard
PCI cards
ISA cards (it could be old :P)
Posibly an AGP card
Power Supply

And then we can look if we recognize the error.

Linux is an alternative operating system. You can boot it from a CD.

One word: GOOGLE (http://www.google.com)
