Items on teh taskbar no longer minimise when you click on them.....

For about 1 week now, maximised open applications on the
taskbar have stopped minimising when you click on them -
with the exception of Explorer. Any ideas? Nothing has
changed that I can think of & I can't see any way if
reinstating this useful feature - I can't figure it out.

I'm on SP3.
