Items disappeared from Contacts menu in Windows Mail

Hi to everybody. I have a problem. I use Windows Mail in Vista Home Premium.
Today I was trying to send a email to a contact of mine and I found that
opening Contacts from Windows Mail I am not able anymore to find the items
"Send mail" and "New contact" in the main menu. They disappeared completely!
Is there anybody who can help me? Thanks a lot
