Hi there,

I have an application that I constantly use over RDP (WinXP Pro server and
WinXP Home client). The thing is that the application includes some progress
bars indicating the download progress.
Unfortunately these progress bars do not show up over RDP.

People using Win2003 server as a host report the same issue.

Example screenshot using RDP:

Same screenshot on the host computer (showing the blue progress bars):
http://www.vanderdeijl.demon.nl/NL_direct.gif

Does anyone know why this is happening and what has to be changed to the
application (or the RDP protocol) to make this work?

Hope to hear from you!

I saw progress bars on your RDP version, so I don't necessarily see
where the issue is..

Hi there,

First of all: Jeffrey, thanks for taking the time to look at my problem.
You're probably looking at the small blue progress bars that are showing up
in both screenshots. The ones I am talking about are the larger blue areas
showing some status information (in text).

There are 3 of those areas/bars:
- One just below the tabs indicating the number of articles to download and
remaining time
- One just above the bandiwdth graph on the lower lerft corner indicating
the current speed
- One next to the bandwidht graph (and above the smaller progress bars)
indicating the number of bots and remaining time.

I'm not sure why this is happening and if it is a problem with RDP or an
"error" by the programmer. If it is the last, I could use some hints on what
to change and I will contact him.

Hope someone can help
