Item has not been received from the server

I have just begun using outlook 2003 on a laptop and get the following
message after receiving mail: This item cannot be displayed in the reading
pane. The item has not been received from the server. Then before I can
read the mail I must select to mark the file fjor downloading then
send/receive again. How to I solve this issue
 
Did you set that account to only retrive headers and not full items? Check
here: Tools menu > Send/Receive > Send/Receive Settings > Define
Send/Receive Groups > Highlight a group > Click Edit

The answer applies to the question so why not try if it also applies to your
situation?
