OMG!!!!

Hits the nail on the head. Hell, I'm not even a professional and I still
have co-workers bugging me constantly about computer problems. Apparently,
if you can change the screensaver on the company computer, you're a friggin'
computer genius these days.

One of our customers called me out once because some ****ing wise-arse on
site had gone into the intel gfx driver and set the display orientation to
90 degrees. Until I could get out on site they got around it by turning the
monitor on its side.

I ask you: WTF would be the possible use of this feature? How many people
use computer screens sideways?

Apparently, it's a feature of a number of LCD monitors now, Phil: the
screen can be rotated for a "portrait" display. This is very useful
for viewing documents with a word processor, etc.

No, unfortunately. We provide support to this particular customer FOC
because of the amount of work we get off them so any call from them is in
fact a pain in the arse.
