it takes a while for an email to open up!(Outlook 2002)

I am trying to open an e-mail in my inbox , I check my
email with preview pan and when I try to go to next email
hour glass comes up and it takes a while for an e-mail to
open up.(outlook 2002 with Exchange 5.5 server)
E-mail does not have any attachment at all.
need help to trouble shoot this problem so far I
uninstall and reinstall outlook, I tried office update
and
service pack and also delete *.ost file and recreated
even
disabled the preview pan but none of this worked .
 
Turn off "instant messaging" Q290025

Open the TOOLS menu
Select OPTIONS...
Select the OTHER tab

That usually does it however the following are good to keep
in mind also:

- Uncheck all planner options per article Q324374

- Change rpc binding order, remove every protocol that
you are not using and have tcp/ip first. Q163576

Do you have the Messenger integration turned on? Tools | Options | Other...?
If so, try turning it off and see if that helps.
Also, have you installed all of the service packs for Outlook 2002?
