It keeps closing on me

I started a new project 2 days ago with the movie maker and today I went in
to finish it up and it keeps closing on me as soon as I preform any action.
I tried many, many times and even restarted my computer a few times. 2 days
ago when I started my project it worked but it also closed a lot on me. Is
there anything that I can do to prevent this from happening?
